A NOTE ON INSTABILITY AT A VISCOUS INTERFACE

)
Taylor instability at the interface between two semi-infinite viscous fluids is considered. The exponential rate of growth of perturbations is computed for various density ratios in the limit as the viscosity of one fluid tends to zero, and is compared with the solution of Chandrasekhar (1) for equal kinematic viscosities.
