Toroidal functions are applied to solve mathematically the problem of the magnetic fields of certain systems of currents circulating about an axis in a conducting tore. The following cases are dealt with:
(1) the field of high-frequency current on the surface of a tore;
(2) the field due to current of uniform density on the surface of a tore;
(3) the field of current density within a tore inversely proportional to the distance from the axis;
(4) the field of a uniform current density within a tore.
