CONCENTRATED FORCES ON UNIDIRECTIONALLY STRETCHED PLATES

The paper gives the singularity for a concentrated lateral load on a unidirectionally stretched plate, and presents the solutions for several boundary value problems. The clamped semi-infinite plate and the simply supported quarter plate subjected to concentrated forces are discussed in some detail. The bending hot spot is also treated, and the corresponding solution for the clamped semi-infinite plate is given.
