SOME CALCULATIONS OF VERTICAL MECHANICAL WAVE ENERGY FLUX IN THE ATMOSPHERE

A disturbance in the lower part of a windy stratified atmosphere excites a dispersive system of waves. Expressions are derived for the vertical energy flux as a function of the height. The formulae are evaluated for a specific case.
