The steady similar solution for the flow of a viscous incompressible fluid above an infinite rotating disc, including rotation at infinity and suction at the disc, is studied for small values of the suction parameter. An approximate solution is found by the method of matched asymptotic expansions which explains some of the difficulties encountered in computing numerical solutions.
