ON THE LEAST DISPLACEMENT, TRACTION AND WORK REQUIRED TO PRODUCE YIELD IN VISCOELASTIC MATERIALS

Estimates are obtained for the least displacement, traction and work required to produce yield, according to the Reiner–Weissenberg criterion, in a body of general shape made from an isotropic, homogeneous, viscoelastic material.
