A WORK ESTIMATE FOR A VISCOELASTIC FLUID WITH AN APPLICATION TO CONVERGENCE TO EQUILIBRIUM

A work estimate is derived for a linear viscoelastic fluid. The estimate provides a simple ad hoc method of investigating convergence to equilibrium.
