It is shown that the second-order far field in the low-frequency scattering of a harmonic elastic wave by a body in fully lubricated contact with its environment can be expressed by means of an explicit formula in terms of the first-order field on the object, despite the absence of uniqueness in the problem and in the controlling integral equations.
