INHOMOGENEOUS PLANE WAVES IN A CONSTRAINED ELASTIC BODY

P. BOREJKO

( Institut für Allgemeine Mechanik, Technische Universität Wien Vienna, A–1040 Austria )

In this paper it is shown how relationships analogous to those obtained earlier for inhomogeneous waves in initially stress-free, unconstrained, elastic bodies and in linear conservative systems apply to inhomogeneous waves in the more general setting in which, besides exhibiting material anisotropy, the transmitting non-heat-conducting elastic body is subject to a primary deformation and a system of internal constraints
