MIXED CONVECTION AT A STAGNATION POINT

NORSARAHAIDA AMIN and N. RILEY

We are concerned with the mixed convective flow at a two-dimensional stagnation point on a heated horizontal boundary. The forced flow may be a stagnation-point flow of either forward or rear type, and the free convective element is due to a pressure gradient that is induced by temperature variations along the boundary. The main aim of our investigation is to identify situations in which a steady flow can be maintained.
