A FOURIER INTEGRAL SOLUTION FOR THE STRESSES IN A SEMI-INFINITE STRIP

A solution is given for a stress diffusion problem in a semi-infinite strip. Fourier integrals are used and the method is applicable to problems where the boundary conditions are given in terms of stresses. Good agreement is found between the theoretical solution and a photoelastic investigation.
