ELASTIC ISOTROPY WITH BODY FORCE AND COUPLE

This paper traces the consequences of the assumption of body couple in classical infinitesimal elasticity and examines the mechanism of action across an interface in a continuous medium with special reference to a new multi-constant controversy in the theory of elasticity.
