THE ACCURACY OF THE METHOD OF CHARACTERISTICS FOR PLANE SUPERSONIC FLOW

The mechanism by which errors are propagated through a computation is analysed, and the resultant effect of the various types of error determined. A procedure is outlined for planning computations to achieve specified accuracy with minimum labour.
